Thank yuo for participating in the international Typhlo&Tactus competition. The participating countires submitted 61 books to the competition. They were carefully evaluated by the eight members of the jury who took particular notice of the versatility of topics, artistic solutions, technical innovations and the tender and amusing stories.
After two-day evaluation, here book: Missä on Jukan sukka? (Where Is Justin's Sock?) have been selected among the best 7 ones
A story about lost things means something real for families. For the child, looking after an item makes him want to explore: inside, under, on top, with a good use of the page space. The searching is tactile so visually impaired and sighted are equal.
The first prize is awarded to La fabuleuse montagne ( The fabulous mountain) by Erika Forest from Belgium.
Second prize is divided between Merirosvotarina (A pirate story) by Maarit Korhonen from Finland and Sem by Marino Valentina from Italy.

Laitan tähän alle pienen kuvan, jossa näkyy muutama sivu kirjasta Missä on Jukan sukka? Kokonaisuudessaan kirja on kuvattuna 15.4.2012 otsikolla Kannatta joskus kokeilla useamman samanlaisen kirjan tekemistä.
Tällä hetkellä olen tekemässä kahta uutta "kopiota" tästä kirjasta. Se oli ihastuttanut tsekkiläistä tuomaria, joka halusi oman kappaleen heille. Lupasin tietysti tehdä heille sellaisen koska Celia saa vaihtokaupassa tsekkiläisen ihmisen sisäelimiä käsittelevän koskettelukirjan. Olen ylpeä tällaisesta pyynnöstä!
Toisen kopion, jota tällä hetkellä teen, haluan pitää itselläni yhtenä esimerkkinä hyvästä koskettelukirjasta.
Kuvaan sen tänne kunhan saan valmiiksi ja kerron samalla niistä uudistuksista tai korjauksista joita siihen teen.
